1880年、明治維新による廃刀令により刀剣界が激動を迎える中、飯田亘が東京に刀剣古美術 飯田高遠堂を創業致しました。
刀剣文化を継承し、新たな美の可能性を広げてきた歴史は常に多くの愛刀家の皆様と共にありました。
二年前、皆様に感謝を伝える行事を準備しておりましたが、新型感染症の流行という事態に断念いたしました。

この度感染症の終息を願い一振りの新作刀をご紹介させて頂きます。
当初百四十周年を祝い計画した本作は薬師如来の加護のもと、疫病退散を祈願する願いの剣となりました。
新たな未来を開く「希望」の年度となりますように。

In 1880, while the sword world was turbulent due to the abolition of the sword by the Meiji Restoration, Wataru Iida founded the sword antique art Iida Koendo in Tokyo.
The history of inheriting the sword culture and expanding the possibilities of new beauty has always been with many sword lovers.
Two years ago, I was preparing an event to thank everyone, but I gave up on the outbreak of a new type of infectious disease.
We would like to introduce a new sword for the end of infectious diseases.
Originally planned to celebrate the 140th anniversary, this work became a sword of prayer for the extinction of the plague under the protection of Yakushi Nyorai.
May it be a year of “hope” that opens up a new future.
